Barber Schedule Changes

The schedule for a few of our barbers and for the shop as a whole will be changing in the coming month. We wanted to keep all of our guests updated before the changes take place. 

First off, the shop will now be open on Sundays! Beginning the week of February 1st, Rosemont Barbershop will be open 7 days a week. Our Sunday hours will be 11am to 5pm, with Dale and Matt being the available barbers.

Regarding our barbers' schedules, Matt will now be in the shop Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. He will be off on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Our Junior Barber Dale will now be available Monday mornings, Wednesday, and Sundays. 

We will be closed the second Sunday in February (2/12) for the Super Bowl but both Matt and Dale will work the preceding Saturday (2/11).

Aveda Remedy Facial

As of this week all barbers are now available for the Aveda Remedy Facial, and if you're unaware of this service, you should really add it to your next appointment and treat yourself.

Beginning with a thorough consultation about your skin so we can cater the products to your skin's needs, you'll be treated to an exfoliating cleanse, mask, moisture and toning in between hot and cold towels to relax and refresh.

New Faces/Promotions

What better way to kick off the new year than congratulating our guy Zack Noe on graduating from Junior Barber to Barber!

Since the day he arrived, Zack has worked hard to improve his technical haircutting and service to reach the standards that we've set at Rosemont and create the kind of experience that our guests have come to expect.

This position also comes with a price increase from our Junior Barber pricing to our Standard pricing that will take affect next Wednesday, January 11th.

Dale has been working to complete our Barber Curriculum while cutting hair locally and will now be working on the floor with us every Wednesday beginning next week, January 11th.

New Cancellation P

We wanted to make all of our clients aware that we will be updating our cancellation policy beginning this week. We've seen a significant increase in day-of cancellations and reschedulings (even with the pandemic taken into consideration) and the impact they've created is what encouraged this decision.

Moving forward, if a guest cancels or reschedules their appointment less than 3 hours before their scheduled time, they will be charged the full appointment price without refund.

We make sure to respect out guest's time and money by providing the best service possible the moment they arrive. We've updated our policy to make sure that we're giving that same respect to our barbers' effort and livelihood. Their income is based solely on the number of services they're able to provide each day, and when a guest cancels a service with little to no notice, it becomes increasingly difficult to fill that appointment and recover that income.

All Things Skin Care

Here at Rosemont, our completely unofficial and never agreed-upon saying is 'always be learnin' and we take it very seriously. We also feel the need to project that same passion for knowledge onto you, our valued clients.

We love making you look and feel your best with your favorite service, and we think it's important that you feel that way as often as possible. That said, we want to start putting more of our energy into giving you the knowledge to provide yourself with the same care and attention at home, and right now we think that everyone should be giving more of that attention to their skin.

Skin care, particularly facial skin care for men has been damn near non-existent until the last decade or so. You can attribute that to a number of different reasons, the primary being that it was never seen as a particularly ‘masculine’ practice, which we now realize is absolute horse shit. We should ALL be taking care of our skin, and unfortunately that crooked old view of skin care still persists which leaves us with men who have little to no knowledge of how and why they should be taking care of their skin. Well, it’s high time for that to change and we’re here to help.

New Murdock Sea Salt Paste
